Therapy for Christian Women in Sewickley, Fox Chapel, and Telehealththroughout Pennsylvania..
Therapy for Christian Women who feel like they’re not good enough.
Let’s make sense of your inner dialogue and thoughts without guilt or shame, to better understand your authentic self, and to live in the freedom of who God designed you to be.
How I Can help You
I help faith-based, women who do so much for everyone else to finally feel supported and whole so you can feel your feelings and get care for your needs to be met, too, even if you’re afraid it’ll be too much —- we’ll figure it out together step by step.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You wake up already tired, bracing yourself to carry everyone else’s needs - and wondering if you’ll ever feel good enough and like yourself again.
You smile at church and say everything’s “fine,” but inside, you feel like you’re failing God and everyone else.
You keep trying harder, but still spin in cycles of the same familiar struggles.
You’ve swallowed your voice so much that hurt, resentment, and sadness make it hard to tell where your needs and feelings end and everyone else’s expectations begin.
You wonder if admitting how overwhelmed you feel would mean you’re weak—or worse, ungrateful.
Imagine waking up with a calm mind and knowing and feeling that you’re loved exactly as you are …
— not for what you do or how well you hold it together day in and day out.
Hi! I’m Michelle…
Hi, I’m Michelle Croyle, LPC. I help Christian women untangle guilt from grace, set boundaries without losing their compassion, and discover a faith that feels honest and life-giving again. Together, we’ll create a space where you don’t have to pretend—and you can finally start to heal.
Here’s what we’ll do together
If you’ve tried therapy before and it felt like one more place you had to perform, it’s completely understandable that you might feel hesitant.
Maybe you’ve shared your struggles only to be met with advice to “pray harder” or “just be grateful,” and it left you feeling unseen.
That’s why my approach is different: together, we create a space where your faith and your feelings are both welcome. You won’t be asked to pretend or push past what’s real. You’ll be invited to slow down, feel, and heal at your own pace.
what I hear from my clients:
While I can’t share specific client stories because of confidentiality ethics, the women I’ve walked alongside often tell me that…
They have made progress toward their goals and find the tools I provide them to be really helpful
They’ve never been able to put the stuff they are struggling with into words, but feel that I understand them
That they trust me, and what I teach them is helpful to them
That they are doing so much better than they used to be since working with me
That they recommend me to their friends.
What we’ll work on
When you’re tired of feeling like two separate versions of yourself…
You deserve support that meets you where you are (with compassion, not coddling), and helps you to grow into wholeness and confidence in how you live.
No matter what you’ve been through, trauma, abuse, family of origin dysfunction, or church hurt, you don’t have to keep carrying the burden, and you don’t have to keep shouldering it alone.
How will it work
You might be wondering …
“What if therapy doesn’t work for me?”
It’s normal to worry about that. Therapy isn’t a quick fix, but with the right support, it can be a life-giving process of learning to trust yourself again.
“What if being honest about how I feel means I’m failing my faith?”
Your feelings don’t disqualify you from love or faith—they’re part of being human. Together, we’ll explore how honesty can actually deepen your connection with God.“What if I start crying and can’t stop?”
You’ve been strong for so long. It’s okay to let go here. I’ll be with you every step, creating space for your emotions to move through safely.
what you need to know:
Is this for me?
This is for you if …
You long for a faith that feels honest, not performative.
You want to create healthier boundaries without losing your compassion.
You’re willing to show up for yourself, even when it feels uncomfortable.
This might not be for you if …
You’re looking for a quick fix or someone to give you all the answers.
You prefer to keep emotions at a distance.
You’re not open to exploring the intersection of faith and mental health.
when you are ready for better:
The choice is yours …
Six months from now, you could still be waking up exhausted, weighed down by guilt, wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again.
Or…you could be on the other side of this, breathing easier, finally feeling at peace with yourself and your faith, and knowing you don’t have to carry it all alone anymore.
Current you might be thinking, “This sounds good, maybe I’ll reach out next week.”
Future you is begging you not to wait—whether you work with me or someone else.
Neither of you needs to keep suffering.

There are two ways to work with me.
1) As a weekly client (however, these spots are limited due to my current caseload availability).
2) As a Therapy Intensive client.
Both ways of working with me offer an eclectic array of treatment modalities. If you would like a blend of the best tools I’ve found from evidence-based EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, IFS/Parts/Ego State work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), or Brainspotting work, you will benefit from a whole person approach. When you include faith-based Christian counseling from a Biblical perspective with the psychological treatments, you are really getting the best of cutting edge as well as truth-based care.

Weekly therapy is 50 minutes in length per session.
Therapy Intensives are offered in customized chunks of concentrated time that can ultimately save you time and money with less hassle.
Length of care depends on which of the above options you choose as well as your individual needs, goals, and history. Each client is unique, and care is customized to your specific criteria.
